- Starting at the Owl's Nest, Lower Road, Llandovery
- Along the A40 to Sennybridge
- Follow the A4215 heading for the A470
- Along the A470, making a pit stop at "Terry's" burger van (for a cuppa) north of the Storey Arms
- Leave the A470 and follow the A4050 to Cefn-Coed
- Follow Cefn Coed High Street and leave at The Drover's Arms headed for Cefn Viaduct
- Stay on the Taff Trail passing Merthyr Tydfil
- Along Ash Road, Troedyrhiw
- Leave the Taff Trail at Ynys-y-gored Farm, Aberfan
- Follow the path in front of Orchard Close, Aberfan
- Through Ynysowen Fach, Aberfan
- Across the footbridge over the road (listed as Bronheulog Terrace on SatNav)
- Pass the primary school
- Leave the road to walk along river bank behind Hughes Forrest
- Off there at the front of St Mary's Church
- Then straight to the Trading Post at St John's Ambulance Hall
